Strategic Engagement

Cultural governance advisory and strategic research led by Dr Nathania Atkinson.

Dr Nathania Atkinson and J2N Atkinson™ work with national cultural institutions, universities, funding bodies, ministries, and cross-border initiatives operating within the cultural and creative economy. Engagements are structured at the governance level and designed to strengthen institutional architecture and cultural policy across the UK, the Caribbean, and Transnational contexts.

The J2N Atkinson™ Architecture

Dr Atkinson designs cultural and creative industries strategy across the UK and Caribbean, operating at the intersection of diaspora, governance, research, and cultural policy.

We work where cultural and creative industries generate value that current systems fail to retain, govern, or sustain.

This is upstream work.

This work is delivered through two tracks: institutional advisory for ministries, funders, and cultural institutions, and direct engagement for individual creators, families, and estates.

Our focus:

Creative Industries & Strategic Architecture
Reconfiguring governance, cultural policy, and decision-making structures within the creative economy to support long-term value retention and sector resilience.

Research & Cultural Intelligence
Translating lived experience, cultural memory, heritage, and industry practice into actionable insight for those responsible for its stewardship, whether at institutional or family level. (changed from "institutional and policy decision-makers")

Evaluation & Institutional Learning
Developing frameworks that assess structural impact across cultural policy, creative industries growth, and public funding.

Intergenerational & Transatlantic Economies
Strengthening continuity and exchange between UK and Caribbean creative ecosystems.
