Dr NATHANIA ATKINSON
Founder & Research Director
Dr Nathania Atkinson is a cultural infrastructure strategist and research director whose work designs how diasporic knowledge, lived experience, and creativity function as governance intelligence, capital architecture, and institutional strategy.
Her practice operates deliberately upstream of conventional cultural policy and creative consultancy. She intervenes at the structural point where culture generates value but institutions lack the frameworks to recognise, govern, and compound it. Her work translates embodied knowledge and cultural memory into systems that organisations can resource, regulate, and sustain without erasure, dilution, or extraction.
Grounded in transatlantic Black feminist intellectual traditions and over two decades of applied work across heritage, entertainment, academia, and more, Dr Atkinson advises executive leaders on cultural governance, evaluation design, narrative power, and long-term value retention across the UK, the Caribbean, and North America.
Her focus is not cultural output alone. It is how culture compounds, structurally, economically, and intergenerationally and within transnational creative economies.
Dr Atkinson has authored and led strategic research and advisory engagements across cultural institutions, creative industries, academic environments, and emerging capital systems. Her contribution lies in the design of new governance and capital architectures that protect, anchor, and extend diasporic creative value within the communities and ecosystems that generate it.
